Hi, I’m Amanda, and I’m so happy you’ve landed here. For me, yoga has been a path to healing, an avenue for creativity, and an ultimate expression of JOY! It’s a gift to be able to share this practice with you.

What to expect…

My approach to yoga centers on the balance of effort and ease. In my yoga sessions I hope that you feel appropriately challenged, and empowered to try new variations of postures based upon the sensations that show up in your body. You will hear me remind you, maybe too often, to listen to yourself. Despite the redundancy, I mean it. As much as yoga is a physical expression of opening and growing, both require kindness to oneself and rest. You’ll be reminded to honor both and see value in staying present, reflecting in your practice what’s true.

My classes begin always with mindful breathing and invitation to connect to a bigger purpose. Rooted in the eight-limbed path, there are bits of yoga philosophy woven into the tapestry of each session, but they are conveyed in applicable ways for the modern yogi to digest and utilize. As class picks up, you’ll flow at a pace that matches your breath to movement. Expect an invitation for isolated core engagement to support balancing postures before slowing back down to deeper stretches and of course, sweet sweet savasana at the end.
